A. In 2020, Typhoon Ulysses (international name Vamco) one of the strongest tropical cyclones ever recorded, hit several countries in South East Asia. The Philippines sustained most of the brunt of the typhoon and wiped out communities especially in the Luzon region. Thousands lost their livelihood and properties. Most of the people affected were from poor coastal communities.

In your opinion, what environmental law should have prevented the great damage this typhoon brought to our country? As a student, what can you do now to decrease the destructive effects of such super typhoon?

Sagot :

The typhoons in the Philippines is very increasing the wind speed and gustiness that could make a more destructible when it landfall in the Philippines. To prevent the typhoon situation is should plant more tree's to absorb water from the flood, you shouldn't dump any trashes across the rivers, creeks, and canals to prevent flooding due high tide and bring some disease to the people during rainy days. The best one is to prevent global warming that aattributes the sea level rising th flood some area should be prevented by the reduction of air pollution that could cause global warming.
