There was an incident in the old music room. Haruhi knocked over and broke a valuable vase. The people who are apart of the Host club are rich kids and Haruhi is a poor teen with no money to pay for the vase. They use Haruhi to gain popularity and using the popularity to slowly pay for the vase. In the beginning the host club member though Haruhi was a male but soon to find out that Haruhi was a female. They soon start to fall for her. At first they would make fun of her because of the things she ate and humiliated her for everything she did.
