there is three types of it on solving quadratic equation :
1st is solving using extracting square roots ,
2nd is by factoring ,
and 3rd is by completing the square....
but if the problem or the equation is not factorable ,you may use the quadratic formula to make it easier , x² = -(b) +- √(b)² - 4 (a)(c)
