There many effects of socieconomic status to students achievement specially of today's happenings or situations. It can be positive and can be negative.
One of the effects is a student will tend to just stay with their buddies regarding social awareness in discovering more things  and that student will tend to sometimes just make absences in the school affecting his studies.
Its effect also is being a more open or expose to a true world, by seing people deeds and sometimes imitating them either bad or good that sometimes affects a students achievement to school.
