Vincent was very intelligent and humble. as a catholic. he had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother. when Vincent was 17 he entered the Dominican order. he did well in his studies. he served the Church as a priest and became well-known preacher all over spain and france. through his preaching and example of Holiness. many people were converted and those Catholics who were not practicing their faith often changed and became fervent for the rest of their lives. before every sermon. he prayed sincerely and asked for the prayers and penance of many people knowing well that his successes were God-given he said " It was Jesus Christ who preached."
