When you multiply a negative integer to a positive integer what is the answer?

Rules in Multiplying or Dividing Integers:

1)  When you multiply or divide integers with same sign ( negative and negative or positive and positive), the answer (product/quotient) is positive.

Example: (-12) (-5) = + 60 or 60
               (60) ÷ (12) = 5

2) When you multiply or divide integers with unlike signs, the answer (product/quotient) is negative.

Example:  (-10) (50) = -500
                (500) ÷ (-100) = -5
