Semi - perimeter of the lot:

- [tex]S = \frac{18.5}{2} [/tex]
- [tex]S = 9.25 [/tex]
Use the herons formula for area of triangle, Area of the lot is:
- [tex]Area= \sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)} [/tex]
- [tex]Area=\sqrt{9.25(9.25 - 4.5)(9.25 - 7.2)} [/tex] [tex] \sqrt{(9.5 - 6.8)} [/tex]
- [tex]Area= \sqrt{9.25(4.75)(2.05)(2.45)} [/tex]
- [tex]Area= {\boxed{\green{\sf{14.855m {}^{2} }}}}[/tex]
If cost of soil = ₱78/m² , then cost to cover the area is:
- Cost = Area × ₱78/m²
- Cost = 14.855[tex]\cancel m {}^{2}[/tex] × ₱78/[tex]\cancel m {}^{2}[/tex]
- Cost = [tex]{\boxed{\green{\sf{₱1158.69 }}}}[/tex]
ANSWER :
