5. From here, the animal transforms these stored “sunlight” into their own energy and use it.
6. These are then digested and are left somewhere as dung.
7. When these herbivorous animals die or fall prey to carnivores, they themselves become energy sources to who fed on them.
8. In the end, after the last animal in the food chain passes away, all that light energy that came from the sun is recycled over and over again in a seemingly never-ending cycle that supports life.
How I view the light from now on:
- Light is important to live.
- It showed me how fascinating nature is.
- It made me realize that the essentials (sunlight being one of them) for continuing life on earth is ever-present, all we need is to do our part in maintaining what is left and returning most of what we have altered back to its natural state.
- Lastly, we have to learn to live with nature.
