The reason why I aligned M and D, and the A and S in my PEMDAS is because I just want the others to know that if the objects fighting are Multiplication and Division, you don't follow the PEMDAS method wherein Multiplication goes first before Division. It should be done using left-to-right method. That goes the same with equations wherein the operations fighting are only Addition and Subtraction.
Example:
       5 + 6 / 3 x 2 = ?
If you use the PEMDAS (M goes first before D) it becomes like this:
    5 + 6/ 3 x 2 = 
   5 + [6 / (3 x 2)] = 
  5  + [6/6] = 
     5 + 1 = 6, INCORRECT
CORRECT:
(use the left-to-right method)
    5 + 6 / 3 x 2 = 
    5 + [(6 / 3) x 2] =
     5 + [ 2 x 2 ] = 
     5 + [ 4 ]  = 9, CORRECT
