Ratios are basically the same thing as fractions. for example a 1 to 2
ratio is pretty much saying 1/2. Lets take this example a bit further,
if I get apples, compared to you, at a 1 to 2 ratio, that means I get 1
apple for every 2 you have, or you could say I get half as many apples
as you do. Fractions are the same thing as dividing the top number
(numerator) by the bottom (denominator), so the fraction 1/2 is the same
as saying 1 divided by 2. 1/2 = 0.50 as a decimal. Take the decimal and
multiply by 100%, so 0.50 * 100% equals 50%. A 1 to 2 ratio then is 50%.
