substitute equation 3 to equation 2

35y - y² = 15
y² - 35y + 15 = 0
y = 34.566,  y = 0.434
the two values are the values for x and y say
y = 34.566,  x = 0.434
finding the sum of their reciprocals you'll have:
1/x + 1/y = 1/0.434 + 1/34.566
