The green house effect is the warming of earth, it is like global warming. But with different mneaning, it is when the carbon dioxide ( co2) and other gases in the atmosphere absorbed the infrared rays, forming a kind of 'heat blanket' around the earth. This process is called the greenhouse effect because the carbon dioxide act like a glass in a green house to trap heat. Making the earth and comfortable to live, without it the earth became a cold desolated area.
