first make sure that the both of them are similar fractions. If they are not similar fractions make it to similar fractions. Then add the numerator. Add the whole numbers too. If it is a improper fraction, turn it unto proper fraction

   8  9/10 + 7 5/9 = N
   8  N/90 + 7 N/90 =N
   90 ÷ 10= 9 × 9 = 81 so it becomes 8 81/90 + 7 N/90
   90 ÷ 9 =10 × 5 = 50 so it becomes 8 81/90 + 7 50/90
   81 + 50 = 131
   8 + 7 = 15
   so it becomes 15 131/90
   must be proper fraction so...
   131 ÷ 90= 1.41
    add the whole number to the whole number...  15 + 1= 16 then make the decimals as the numerator... so it becomes
        16 41/90 !!!
