Yes. Comets, Asteroids and Meteors are different.
Because Asteroids are the small and big particles of rocks that orbits around the sun.A meteor is a matter from the outer space that enters the earth's atmosphere. And lastly, the comets are a celestial object of a nucleus dust and when near the sun the "tail" of gas particles pointing away from the sun. Hope I helped :)
