Circulatory system- also known as the cardiovascular system.
-Is the transport system of the body.
-Responsible for the distribution of food nutrients and oxygen, and also the elimination of carbon dioxide and wastes from the body.
The major parts of the circulatory system are the heart, blood vessels and blood.
Describe:
Heart- It is a hollow muscle, which is just as big as our fist. It is located at the center of our chest between the lungs.
Blood vessels- Blood vessels are a group of tubes with different sizes, which are the pathways through which the blood flows and transport food to all parts of the body. It has 3 kinds: arteries, veins and capillaries.
Blood- It is called the "Red river of life" because it supplies the body cells with the materials they need for nourishment and repair, and also eliminates wastes from the cells.
