The story of The Soul of the Great Bell, was about how a bell so magnificent with gold, silver and brass seen altogether. A young lady named Ko-Ngai was the only daughter of a recognized worthy official by the son of the heaven. He ordered that he should have a bell whose sound will be heard from all the city of Pe-king. Then, due to this demand bell-smiths from all around the country prepared plans.  

But there seems to be a trouble in the metal that was used, they keep breaking apart it won’t combine with each other as if they rivals. The son of heaven grew impatient, and if the bell isn’t finished he’ll have the head of the worthy official.  

Before:

  1. Ko-Ngai felt threatened, she loves his father so much
  2. She went to an astrologer foe help
  3. It was said that the blood of a virgin maiden will make the bell complete

After:

  • Ko-Ngai quickly made it to the furnace where the bell was being made
  • She jumped, and with haste she her lady in waiting only managed to capture her shoe.
  • The Bell was completed, it was beyond beautiful.  

But ever so often when the bell makes a sound, it was said that Ko-Ngai’s cry for her missing shoe can be heard. And so this story concludes its ending, it was due to her love for her father she was able to sacrifice herself.
