greenhouse effect is the process of warm air being trapped in the atmosphere by greenhouse gases. This effect is important because without trapped heat, the Earth would be inhabitable by people and plants and animals etc...Although it may be good, it also has its limits because the atmosphere is made up of certain gases. Carbon dioxide is a portion of those gases that when its presence is too much, it could result in trapping the heat that the sun gives off radiating it even more therefore causing global warming. There is also a natural cycle for how our climate and weather change but if carbon dioxide is abundant, it speeds these processes up making climate change happen and leading temperature to its extremes
