1. I do not believe that we “choose” the religion we believe in, and that, often, people who do choose one for bad reasons, screw it up.
God went out of His way, over centuries, to reveal Himself to us, and then commanded us to go out to all mankind preaching and converting them. Basically, I am Catholic because God called me, and I answered Him.
2. Religion will always force believers to go through life with blinders on. It is best to educate yourself about the different religions/cultures. But to fully enjoy life without the guilt of religion think like a Humanist.
