Noon:
The bahay kubo, also known as payag in the Visayan languages, is a type of stilt house indigenous to the Philippines. It often serves as an icon of Philippine culture. The house is exclusive to the lowland population of unified Spanish conquered territories.
Ngayon:
A house is a single-unit residential building. It may range in complexity from a rudimentary hut to a complex structure of wood, masonry, concrete or other material, outfitted with plumbing, electrical, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

In my opinion, old houses like bahay kubo or the Nipa Hut is the best for all Filipinos becuase we are familiar of it. And it is also part of our Filipino culture.
