Expansion of the balloon as it is being submerged in hot water
Charles' Law states that volume is directly proportional to kelvin temperature when pressure and amount of gas are constant. When temperature increases, volume also increases.
When you submerge the balloon in hot water the volume of the balloon increases. Kinetic energy of gas molecules inside the balloon increases resulting to increase it its volume when amount of gas and pressure are constant.
