Materials:
large ball (or any large spherical objects)
flashlight
small ball

Procedures:
1. Place the large ball at the center of the table.
2. Turn off the lights in the room. Make sure that the room is dark enough so as to enhance the light coming from the flashlight.
3. Turn on the flashlight. Be sure to focus its light on the largeball.
4. Hold the small ball in between the large ball and the flashlight.
5. Turn the small ball slowly around the large ball. DO NOT MOVE THE FLASHLIGHT.
6. Observe what portion of the small ball reflects light.

Questions:
1. Based on your observation, does the small ball change its shape?
2. As you observed, what portion of the ball reflects the light? Explain.
3. Based on your observation, describe the pattern in the changes in the appearance of the small ball​
