If I was one of the people present during the Chipko Movement, I would want to speak out against the government’s policies on forest conservation and development. The main reason being that the forests we live in are our home; and the government has no right to destroy them just so that it can make money. It also hurts us because we depend on the trees to provide us with oxygen and clean air.
