What integer is when divided by 2 the remainder is 1; when divided by 3, the remainder is 2; when divided by 4 the remainder is 3?

The answer is 11. 
11 ÷ 2 = 10.1
11 ÷ 3 = 9.2
11 ÷ 4 = 2.3

I tried guess and check. Here how I've done it...

For 2, 
I've think of random numbers divisible by 2 and I add 1.

For 3, 
I've think of random numbers divisible by 3 and I add 2.

For 4,
I've think of random numbers divisible by 4 and I add 3.

Make sure that things will go on based on the question / problem when doing that kind of method.
