Maria woke up that day feeling empty and lonely. Wanting to ease the emptiness in her heart, she decided to have a walk near the beach. While walking, memories of her dad kept flashing back as she passes the spots where her family used to build sandcastles after swimming together and where th ey sat together to watch the beautiful sunset. She she, together with her dad jog every morning near the remembered the times when seashore. Reminiscing those memories makes her cry. Her feet lead her towards the water and swam a bit to let the water wash away her tears. She went back to the shore and sat and sighed deeply wanting to forget everything. Maria stood up and stretched her arms and legs. She was already dry. down She shook the sand out from her legs and dropped the shells she was holding beside her She covered her eyes with her hands to avoid the glare. The reflection of the sun on the water has been hurting her eyes. She has been here for hours. Tired, but hopeful that one day her dad will come home.
