When you see that the ruler is about to fall, a message  is sent from one neuron to another until it reaches the brain.  The brain will respond and deliver it through the muscles  of our hand, allowing it to contract to catch the ruler.

  • The eye shall send a message to the visual cortex;
  • The visual cortex will then send a message to the motor cortex telling you to catch the falling ruler;  
  • A message will then be sent to the muscles in the hands, arms, and fingers to catch the rules.
