The term'social sciences' is essentially defined as the study of human society; that is, the study of human behavior and society as a whole. In a larger sense, it is a discipline of research that deals with the functioning of human society's institutions, as well as the interpersonal connections between members of society. Socio-cultural components of human behavior, for example, are divided into several disciplines or branches that deal with a certain phase or aspect of human civilization.
