that the equation 4-3x=2x sq. can be written in standard form in two ways? justify ur answer.

Sagot :

Standard form of the quadratic equation is Ax² + Bx + C = 0:

Any quadratic equation can be written in standard form in two ways, depending on the manner of which side of the equation you will choose to transpose the terms.

If we will transpose all the terms on the RIGHT SIDE of the equation:

               4 - 3x = 2x²
                      0 = 2x² + 3x - 4.........Standard form....

If we will transpose all the terms on the LEFT SIDE of the equation:

                4 - 3x = 2x²
       -2x² - 3x + 4 = 0..................Standard form...

Notice that the sign interchanges,,,,but they are still the same equation since they can only be satisfied with the same roots/solution set..
