Answer:

1. Passive Plate Boundaries : A passive margin is the transition between oceanic and continental lithosphere , where the two plates meet each other passively , without any collision . Here, as no collision or subduction is taking place, tectonic activity is minimal and the earth's weathering , delatic , tidal and erosional processes are winning. This leads to lots of low-relief (flat) land extending both directions from the beach, long river systems, and the accumulation of thick piles of sedimentary debris on the relatively wide continental shelves. It's the best area for carbonate platform viz. Reef.

2. Active Plate Boundaries :

An active continental margin is found on the leading edge of the continent where it is crashing into an oceanic plate. Active margins are commonly the sites of tectonic activity: earthquakes, volcanoes, mountain building, and the formation of new igneous rock.

A)- Convergent boundaries: where two plates are colliding.

Subduction zones occur when one or both of the tectonic plates are composed of oceanic crust. The denser plate is subducted underneath the less dense plate. The plate being forced under is eventually melted and destroyed.

i. Where oceanic crust meets ocean crust

Island arcs and oceanic trenches occur when both of the plates are made of oceanic crust. Zones of active seafloor spreading can also occur behind the island arc, known as back-arc basins. These are often associated with submarine volcanoes.

3. Divergent Plate Boundaries

These are oceanic ridges where new oceanic lithosphere is created by upwelling mantle that melts, resulting in basaltic magmas which intrude and erupt at the oceanic ridge to create new oceanic lithosphere and crust. As new oceanic lithosphere is created, it is pushed aside in opposite directions.
