wow.. this is quite the question. i can only tell you so much but i think that generally we try to withold our sins and whatever we know is wrong in Gods sight from Him. ill try to eplain this a bit below

i think first off it all comes down to trying to be in control over our life, and not having to be dependent on god. we think that we can do it without him and so we try to hide it from him. however we must remember that god knows everything. we can hide NOTHING from god. there is no place on this earth that we can go to and hide from god.

now, we normally try to withold things that we have done wrong from god. after the fall we by nature look to cover ourselves up, and this is why we try to withold things from god so much
