Learning Task 3:
A. Answer the following:
1. In a given graph, how do you identify the solution set ol the systems of inequalities?
2. When is the boundary of an inequality a broken linic? or a solid linc?
3. When docs a systems on inequalities have no solution?
help please

Sagot :

1.Unless you are graphing a vertical line the sign of the inequality will let you know which half-plane to shade. If the symbol ≥ or > is used, shade above the line. If the symbol ≤ or < is used shade below the line. For a vertical line, larger solutions are to the right and smaller solutions are to the left.

2.The boundary line for the inequality is drawn as a solid line if the points on the line itself do satisfy the inequality, as in the cases of ≤ and ≥. It is drawn as a dashed line if the points on the line do not satisfy the inequality, as in the cases of < and >.

3.When two inequalities have parallel lines and the shaded areas do not overlap (i.e., the opposite areas are shaded), then the system has no solution. This means that there is no coordinate point that makes both inequalities true.
