Equation:
(x) (25-x) = 156
25x - x² = 156

Equate to 0:
0= x² -24x + 156

Solve by factoring:
((x-13) (x-12) = 0

x-13 = 0             x-12 = 0
x = 13                x = 12

The two numbers are 13 and 12.

To check:  
    13 + 12 = 25
     (13) (12) =156
