I agree with the thought presented in the song "Common Ground" because for me it is realistic. In a way that, I personally experience the hardships in life, how difficult it is to try your best to prove yourself to something or someone but at the end of the day, if they won't acknowledge and recognize your effort, nothing will happen. If they choose to forget about the good things you have done at least you have yourself to console the loss that is why it is necessary that you have established something personal for yourself. By the time things are falling into pieces, you have something to start on.
