Words with the same spelling, but different (multiple) meaning are called homonyms.
Examples:
date:
Yesterday Mariah had a date with Jason.
What is a date today? It's August 14.
type:
I don't like to type on this new keyboard.
This dress is not my type.
leave:
I collect a leave from each tree.
I have to leave home and go to school.
right:
Now I can see that you were right.
Just turn right and you will get there.
