1st Picture

This is when Christianity was introduced to the people of Philippines courtesy of Spanish People. Image shows a priest baptizing a person so that he can enter the world of Christianity, later they called themselves Roman Catholic as they undergo Baptism, where they can be called the children of God. The first baptism that happened in the Philippines was in Cebu. Raja Humabon and his wife were the first people to embrace Christianity in the Philippines.

2nd Picture

The image happened during World War 2 which took place at South East Asia and Europe. World War 2 happened due to Hitler’s invasion of Poland in September1939 which drove Great Britain and France to declare war on Germany. This war caused millions of lives including our country. 250,000 Filipino soldiers joined forces Americans during this Great War. Some have survived but many lost their lives for their country. The Philippines suffered a great loss of life and tremendous physical destruction. Around 1 million Filipinos have been killed and the capital of the Philippines, Manila, is severely damaged.  

3rd Picture

The images shows Ifugao children from 1906 are being taught to learn English Language. People were taught how to learn English during this era because we were still colonized by Americans during this time and for them to understand the language of people from Ifugao. Citizens from that place should learn English language

4th Picture

Image shows people bartering their goods with foods, clothes or gold. Barter trade has a long tradition in our country even before Ferdinand Magellan came into our country. When the Spanish came around 1521 they introduced to us coins. Barter is the only way of trade for people of the Philippines to survive.
