What better way can we say that the history of the Philippines is our people's history than by asserting that the history of our nation is a story of the Filipino people.

We have learned from our reputed historians how the story of our nation began. How our ancestors have journeyed all the way from their homeland and settled in these Islands, and established peaceful communities.

Part of their story is their struggle with foreigners who wish to colonize us, enslave us, and subject us to their absolute rule. The history of our nation is a story of a struggle for freedom, independence, and peace.

What we are right now, and what we have especially our freedom is not something that is given to us for free, it is rather the prize won by our ancestors when they offered their lives for us and for the liberation of our fatherland!

Our ancestors have done their part in making history, they have written it with their blood, and with their life.  

It is now the time for you to write your own.
