in my opinion through my research antarctica was really hot since in the past it was combined with the other continents around it like india but since the movement of tectonic plates the old continent moved and broke into other big pieces forming the other continents around it and since there were other findings in india and all around the neighboring continents proves that they were connected in the past but since then i think why it got cold because of the tectonic plate movements. i hope this helps.and my answer is it was REALLY HOT IN THE PAST.
