The falling action in the story of Orpheus is when Orpheus himself lost his beloved wife and caused him so much grief. He tried to retrieve his wife back after charming the god of the dead Hades, but failed to return back to earth with Eurydice because he was not able to keep his promise---to not to look back until they reach Earth. He wandered with so much grief in his heart playing his lyre with sad melodies.
