Sagot :
Societal factors can greatly affect one's ability to communicate with people about sexuality. Societal factors could include religion, wealth, and education level. I am mainly going to be talking about our society here in the Philippines so bare with me. Most of the people in our country are religious. My experience with religious people is that most of them tend to be close-minded, which means that if you are part of the LGBT community, you will get bullied a lot in school and/or the community rather. This is one of the many reasons why there are so many children that are depressed. They think that them being different makes people think that they are weird, that's why they hide their true selves. This is also one of the many reasons why people here don't really bother with talking about sexuality, they think that asking questions like those will make people "suspicious" of them. It really bothers me how homophobia or transphobia is very much normalized here.
