  • I have to say "I agree." I appreciate the moral stand and, especially, the moral consciousness that says "We must try to eliminate nuclear weapons" if we can, but as others have pointed out, it is dangerously naive to think that all it requires is for us to agree as group they should go away.

  • it's crucial for us to realize that an important justification for possession of nuclear weapons there are, the more strategically valuable they become. Even if a convention against them could be achieved, all that would do is make them that much more attractive to rouge states and organization.

  • This might be worth trying to do, as an effort with limited goals, but is certainly not any sort of "Solution." For a person that prides itself on seeing things as they are, I would have expected a more grounded perspective.
