What is the importance of crop production in the economy?
Most development economics, especially at low levels of per capita income, is about agriculture. In poor countries, agriculture simply is most of the economy, and for most of the last twelve thousand years, agriculture has been the most important economic sector in all regions of the world until of course recent industrialization.
Crop production helps maintain biodiversity on this planet and are food for living creatures in every form that are roaming on this planet. They are raw materials for most of the products available for consumption and utilization and it supports the huge population of a country. All individuals depend on the crops for their food. It also provides employment to a large number of people.
