Health professionals that offer traditional, alternative or complementary medicines are not present in a lot of rural municipalities in the country because of variety of reasons and circumstances. The reason could be a personal choice to work to an area closer to home, or a mere act of following appointment orders from the top management. Another reason could be, is that there are no enough health professionals to be distributed in rural municipalities that is why most of them are distributed in the city where there is a bigger population.
