Cellphones- Biggest Distraction in Schools
There has been a lot of discussions lately about whether students should be allowed to use cell phones in school. Students do not need cellphones in school. There are phones in the office that can be used for emergencies or to contact parents when they are needed. Phones can be a major distraction.
Cellphones can be a big distraction during the school day. If students bring their phones to class and start to use them, they won't be paying attention during class discussions. There are too many games and apps on phones that can pull kids' attention away from what they are supposed to be doing in school. Cellphones are another way that students bully each other. There are already too many ways students can be mean to each other at school, phones would just add another method for mean-spirited kids to harass other students.
Some people may feel that students need phones for safety reasons, however, with all the reasons mentioned about the distraction brought by cellphones to students, there are no other good reasons why children need to have cell phones in school. Phones would just be a distraction to their studies and will affect their performance in school.
