Being a student requires a lot of sacrifices from the students themselves and their parents as well in order for them to attain their goals.

What sacrifices does a student make to attain his or her goals?

Some sacrifices that students have to make are the following:

  • Sacrifice going our or having a good time on some days - students especially those in college have to sacrifice going out at night to enjoy with their friends on days when they have a lot of works to do or when their exams are coming. They need to dedicate their time for studying instead of enjoying.
  • For some students, they also sacrifice being away from their family - some students have to relocate or study in cities or other countries away from their family. They will spend months being alone in their dormitories or boarding houses and they have to endure family occasions that they are not able to attend.
  • There are also some students who sacrifice their relationships - when the load or demand of school work is heavy, some students choose to let go or choose to not enter a relationship while studying so their attentions is fully focused to their studies.

What sacrifices do parents make for their children's education?

Just like the students, their parents also have their share of sacrifices:

  • Parents also sacrifice being away from their children.
  • Parents sometimes sacrifice their needs or wants in order to have enough money and resources for their children's education.
