Materials Needed:

- a string

- scissors

- two 500ml. water bottles (filled with water)

- ruler

Procedure:

1. Prepare the needed materials.

2. With the ruler, measure the string about 60cm in length and then cut it by

using scissors.

3. Next, cut half of the string to get 30cm in length and tie up to each of the

bottles filled with water.

4. Then adjust the string and tie it to each bottle approximately 20cm.

5. With the 2 stands, measure the string approximately 70cm and tie it at each of

the stands.

6. Tie each bottle with the string to make a pair of pendulums. (The distance of

each bottle is approximately 30cm.

7. Swing one of the bottles and observe what will happen next.

2. During the swinging of the bottle, where is the potential energy? Where is the
