What is dry cells in electro magnet in science? can some one pls explain to me what is that because i dont know what is that, explain what it looks like also pls.

Sagot :

Answer:

A dry cell is a type of electric battery, commonly used for portable electrical devices.

Explanation:

"This answer based on what i learned"

An electromagnet is a type of magnet in which the magnetic field is produced by an electric current. Electromagnets usually consist of wire wound into a coil.

When an electric current flows in a wire, it creates a magnetic field around the  wire. This effect can be used to make an electromagnet. A  simple electromagnet comprises a length of wire turned into a coil and connected to  a battery or power supply.  The strength of the magnetic field of the electromagnet depends on the number of  loops of wire and the amount of current in the wire. In particular, the more loops or  more current, the stronger the magnetic field created.

Additional, The nail is the core. The wire is coiled around the core. The electric current is  supplied by a dry cell. Placing some pins near the electromagnet will attract the pins.  When disconnecting one end of the wire from the dry cell, no current will flow, and the  pins are not attracted. If the circuit is closed, pins will be attracted due to the magnetic  force while there is current flow. Dry cell or battery the source of electricity.
