Metamorphic rocks are rocks that were put under pressure by intense heat and Earth's pressure. Metamorphic rocks may be former igneous or sedimentary rocks.

Sedimentary rocks are those formed by sediments, either from water currents, or by erosion, thus the name sedimentary. Natural weathering can create sedimentary rocks by moving sediments to different places.
