In my own understanding about this statement, I can say that it has the meaning of a good way of proper and hralthy eating can make an athlete much better and that it can have more power and energy to be great at everything just like for an example, the athlete who has a good eating habits gained more nutritions and making the athlete more expandable in everything, it is having the ability to do more and think more than the usual kind of athlete while bad eating habits can just make an athlete good and that's it. Being good is not that bad but it can compare to the great, being great is more better and may have more potentials and being good is just like you are just good and can't explore so many things, in short you are being lack of something and it can affect your performances. Having the incomplete energy and presence may damage and ruin the game of an athlete if you are having bad habits of eating.
