It is important to assess one's PECs before engaging in a particular entrepreneurial activity so that you will know if you will succeed in the business. Not everyone is cutout to become a businessman. Hence, it is best that you know what your skills and weakness are as related to entrepreneurship. You will have to ask yourself questions and assess yourself to see whether you are meant for this. If not, the business will fail.
These are one's qualities, characteristics, skills, abilities, knowledge and behavior that a potential businessman must exhibit to become successful. But what are these? There are three clusters, namely: achievement, planning and power. Under achievement cluster, it requires you to be committed and a risk taker. If you are not committed and persistent, you can easily give up on the business. Also, you need to be able to take risks and seek out solutions when others see a problem.
The planning cluster involves you being goal oriented and working on evidenced based decisions. If you only work on whims and non-evidence based actions, then it will be difficult.
Power cluster refers to being persuasive and self confident. Usually introverts are not that good at businesses (Not all the time!). BUt when proper persuasion and networking, it can be done.
