Procedure:
1. Prepare the following materials
Candle and matches
bits of paper
Pinwheel
Guitar
plastic comb
2. Perform the different procedures below then answer the questions that
follow
A Light the candle using a matchstick. Observe what is found at the
end of the matchstick.
Pluck the guitar for 2-3 minutes
C. Make a pinwheel. Blow some air in the pinwheel, What happens
when the wind comes in contact with the pinwheel?
D. Vigorously comb your classmate's hair. (Be sure that the hair is dry
and clean). Place this comb near the dry bits of paper. Describe
what happens.
Questions:
1. What form of energy is found at the end of the matchstick? How does
energy transformation occur in a lighted candle?
2. What form of energy is produced by the guitar? How is the form of
energy produced?
3. What form of energy is produced by the pinwheel when you blow
some air in it?
4. What form of energy is produced when comb is placed near the dry
bits of paper? Why is this possible?​
