I am an African Child Summary and Reflection
Being an African is not being different, but it is being special and unique. They are confident in themselves, despite of their appearance: the skin color, hair type and each and every feature they got. Africans are BEAUTIFUL. Yes they are black and proud but that is not a good reason why people should downgrade Africans, to consider them as a lower class people and pity them. They received a lot of discrimination, most especially from white ones. But they are strong! Africans are strong, and defended their selves. They showcase how talented and skillful they are.
No negativity should be thrown over to them but instead people should think of positive ideas towards African people. They're not poor people because they also have special talents and good abilities to life up their life. Africans have a lot of beautiful things to give, and can make people in awe. The author gave this poem a strong message that Africans should not be prejudiced, and pitied, even bullied because of their color, appearance, race. We are all the same, if only we'll unite as one.
LET NOT ETHNICITY BE THE CAUSE OF BULLYING.
